Aortic aneurysm

Definition

This is a dilation of the walls of the aorta.

It is the second most common location after brain aneurysm. It is mainly located under the renal arteries.

 

It can remain an asymptomatic disease until the rupture.

 

The main risk factors for this disease are tobacco and a family history of aortic aneurysm, it affects more men than women.
